AFIMSC Information Technology – Infrastructure Maintenance (ITIM)

Turn‑key sustainment and modernization for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Cable, Antenna, Microwave, Voice, Giant Voice, and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) backhaul across CONUS and OCONUS installations.

 Scope

The BPA sustains operational readiness of common‑core communications by providing Information Technology Infrastructure Maintenance services, including:

  • Routine Maintenance: Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) and routine sustainment activities to extend system lifecycle
  • Repair & Replace: Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of defective or end-of-life components
  • Modernization: Installation of new infrastructure to meet emerging mission requirements and capability refreshes
  • Special Projects: One-time requirements within the scope that contribute to mission effectiveness
  • Inventory Services: Comprehensive equipment inventory and configuration management

 Supported Systems:

BPA provides maintenance and sustainment services to ensure the sustainment and operational readiness of common core communication systems, including:

  • Digital/IP Voice: Provides secure, high-quality voice communications across base and enterprise networks.
  • Giant Voice (Mass Notification): Base-wide emergency alerting and notification systems for personnel safety.
  • Cable Infrastructure: Copper and fiber optic cabling supporting high-speed data, voice, and control systems.
  • Antenna Systems: RF antennas for voice, data, and telemetry links supporting fixed and mobile mission systems.
  • Microwave Transport: High‑bandwidth, point-to-point links delivering resilient connectivity between remote installations.
  • LMR Base/Backbone: Land Mobile Radio infrastructure enabling secure, reliable command‑and‑control voice communications.

All work aligns with DAF Technical Orders and applicable commercial standards; activities adhere to IA/cyber practices to safeguard mission systems.
