Army Corp of Engineers selects Commdex for integration of DHS command center
Norcross, Georgia – November 01, 2009 — Commdex Consulting (www.commdex.com) a leading Telecom Systems Integrator, announced today that they have been chosen by the Army Corp of Engineers to implement a mission critical command center that not only provides voice interoperability for Customs and Border Protection, but also aggregates video feeds from border over a broadband wireless solution. Commdex will develop the master plan for the new CBP facility and design a microwave communications system to provide full-duplex communications links for the Customs and Border Protection’s Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS). There are 16 remote stations that will link their video to the new command center facility.
Commdex is providing a turnkey command center integration solution to DHS. As part of its team, Commdex has selected some of the leading companies like L3 Communications, Alcatel Lucent, Motorola and HDR Architects.
Integration of this mission critical solution requires transition to the new command center with minimal downtime so that existing operations are not impacted. The Army Corp selected Commdex not only for their expertise, but also because Commdex has the ability to move quickly to meet the aggressive delivery schedule.
