CBP selects Commdex for Coverage Enhancement in Big Bend/Marfa Sector
Atlanta, GA, December 13th, 2019 – The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has selected Commdex to provide much-needed improvements for the CBP to enhance their Land Mobile Radio, solar power, and backhaul transport radio capabilities within their Big Bend/Marfa Sector. The CBP utilizes this system for communications by the border patrol agents during their surveillance missions to ensure safe and effective operation. This award is a significant win for Commdex as it continues to be a premier provider of telecommunication systems for the Department of Homeland Security on the DHS TACCOM II contract.
Commdex is providing all Land Mobile Radio equipment for the coverage enhancement in the Marfa Sector, as well as the IP microwave radios and networking equipment needed for connectivity. Commdex is also responsible for designing and providing a solar power system for this equipment. The work is currently underway and is slated to be completed by Spring 2020.
Prince Niyyar, Commdex’s President, said, “We are excited for another opportunity to support the CBP for enhancing their communications systems.
