Commdex Awarded 5G Mobile Security Contract by DHS
March 3, 2021 – Smyrna, GA – Commdex has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency for a research and development award as part of their newly-launched Secure and Resilient Mobile Network Infrastructure (SRMNI) project. The SRMNI project is in direct response to the National Security Strategy dated December 2017.
Commdex will lead this effort along with its partner Nokia to focus on Fifth Generation (5G) Network Security, specifically developing and evaluating varying end-to-end security controls for 5G devices, 5G Radio Access Network, core, and transport network architecture. The project will produce a security and privacy architecture specification that aligns with commercial 5G architectures and adheres to 3GPP standards.
