Commdex Awarded Task Order for Tower Replacement by US Coast Guard
Atlanta, GA, March 27th, 2019 – The US Coast Guard (USCG) has awarded Commdex a task order to provide tower replacement services as part of the ongoing Tower Multiple Award Construction Contract (TMACC). The work consists of the removal of the existing lookout tower as well as the construction of a new tower at Coast Guard Station Umpqua River, Winchester Bay, Oregon.
Commdex is underway with the effort which includes providing all site planning, design engineering, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the existing tower and supporting equipment. Once completed, Commdex will then construct a new tower nearby with relocated support equipment. Further, Commdex will provide coordination, scheduling and assistance in activating the new lookout tower operations with the least possible interruption in operations of the existing lookout tower.
