Commdex selected for managing Fiber Network for the City of Irving, Texas
Atlanta, GA, March 5th, 2018—Commdex, a wireless systems integration firm, announced today that it has been awarded the contract to continue to provide the City of Irving with accurate locates, rapid emergency restoration, and cost-efficient deployment services for its City-wide fiber optic network. This scope of work is an extension of Commdex’s services for the City since 2014.
Based on Commdex’s successful design and implementation of the existing Irving fiber network, Commdex understands not only the systems involved with this project, but also Irving’s operations, key stakeholders, and requirements. This previous experience working with the City over the last six years has provided Commdex with deep knowledge of the existing fiber network and its configuration. This will expedite Commdex’s ability to ensure effective maintenance of the system with no risks to the City. To meet or exceed response times needed for emergency requests, Commdex will have dedicated resources who are local to the City of Irving.
