Commdex Selected by Parsons for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Contract
Norcross, GA, August 14th, 2014 – Commdex, a leading systems integration and engineering firm, has been awarded a multiple-award task order contract (MATOC) by Parsons to provide technical support services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). As part of the MATOC, Commdex will deliver turnkey solutions, including construction, engineering, equipment installation, and technical upgrades, in support of the modernization and transformation of the FAA’s critical infrastructure.
The FAA’s mission is to provide the safest and most efficient aviation system in the world. In support of its mission, the FAA awarded the Technical Support Services Contract (T4) to Parsons in 2012. Due to the large quantity and geographic diversity of sites under this contract, Parsons uses the MATOC model to deploy its subcontractors throughout the United States, delivering the flexibility and responsiveness needed to meet the FAA’s aggressive schedule. The contract, with an overall value of $1.5 billion, has a 4-year base period and two 3-year options.
According to Commdex President, Prince Niyyar, “We are excited to partner with Parsons under their FAA Program to support one of our government’s highest missions – to protect its citizens by improving the efficiency and safety of aviation. Commdex has in-depth expertise in construction, engineering, integration and technical support services, which will bring significant value to the FAA and help to enhance their operations, increase productivity, and reduce costs.”
