About DOI FieldCom:
Department of Interior (DOI) Field Communications (FieldCom) is a Multiple-Award, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the full array of field communications commodity products, professional services and design-build solutions. It is available for use by DOI and other federal agencies including but not limited to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Justice (DOJ), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Energy (DOE). Services may be required in any of the 50 states and the territories.
DOI FieldCom Objective:
Its objective is to provide the Authorized Users with a flexible contract vehicle to support how they plan, design, implement, maintain and decommission their various field communications solutions.
Scope of DOI FieldCom:
Awards were made in three Functional Categories: Products, Services, and Design-Build. Commdex is one of only a few companies to be awarded all three Functional Categories.
Functional Category 1 (FC1) Products: -EXPIRED

Functional Category 2 (FC2) Services:
FC2 Services was awarded in September 2018 and provides a system life cycle approach to service with planning, design, implementation, operations and maintenance, and decommissioning.
There are two tracks within FC2: Small Business Track and Unrestricted Track.
Period of Performance: This contract is for a five-year base ordering period plus two 1-year option periods.
- Base Year – 10/01/2018 to 09/30/2023
- Option Year One – 10/01/2023 to 09/30/2024
- Option Year Two – 10/01/2024 to 09/30/2025
Functional Category 3 (FC3) Design-Build:
FC3 Design-Build was awarded in September 2018 and provides a method to deliver a field communications system in which the planning, design, and implementation/installation services and any other associated products, software, or hardware in the design are provided by a single contractor. Operations and maintenance and decommissioning services may also be included.
Period of Performance: This contract is for a five-year base ordering period plus two 1-year option periods.

- Option Year Two – 10/01/2024 to 09/30/2025
